    Scobie & McIntosh were appointed to design, develop and install of the catering and bar facilities in the new Whiski Rooms venue at one of Edinburgh’s most prominent addresses.

    We undertook the supply of catering equipment and the manufacture and installation of the bespoke kitchen and bar. Our expertise in providing catering solutions enabled a seamless, high quality service through all project phases with minimal disruption.

    Working closely with our client, Scobie developed a turnkey catering solution, managed the design team and project managed all services to achieve successful project delivery.

  • Kabul International Container Yard (KICY)

    Kabul International Container Yard (KICY)

    Oryx was contracted by one of the world’s largest shipping companies to establish a freight terminal in Kabul.

    The assignment aimed to construct a container yard, establish fully fitted living quarters for over 25 staff members, secure offices, operations and meeting room. Scobie & McIntosh and Oryx liaised closely to design and provide resources to support those based onsite 24/7. On the successful completion of the Kabul International Container Yard ( KICY) project, the yard was fully operational within 6 months and under budget.

    Turn-Key Programme, Basra

    In 2003, Oryx Projects designed, created and managed a team of 50 specialists who oversaw the economic management of southern Iraq. The team was responsible for successfully implementing development programmes and reconstruction projects for the Governments multiple ministries.

    Basra in May 2003 saw national coalition governments who had given little thought to the reconstruction of the Iraqi economy post invasion. From a standing start, with no prior plans a framework for the economic administration was created and implemented.

    The As Samawah Power Plant in Iraq was a complex project involving multiple stakeholders across multi-national boundaries and incorporated significant concurrent structuring, financial and engineering challenges.

    The requirement was to give specialist financial and structuring advice to the Ministry of Electricity as well as design and then deliver a fully operational power plant.
