What is the role? The role will involve responding to reactive service calls at our customers’ sites, ensuring a high level of customer service is always delivered. You will be required to complete preventative and routine maintenance, together with installations of a wide variety of the vending/coffee machines we supply. You will be based from home and provided with a company van and communication tools. This role entails the following:
• Installing, servicing, and repairing Vending and Espresso equipment
• In-house and manufacturer training provided
• Company pension and quarterly bonus scheme available after relevant qualifying periods
• Fully expensed company van provided
• Company phone and tablet
• Excellent remuneration package with overtime and on-call allowance.  To be discussed in detail with candidates dependent upon qualifications and experience
 
What experience is needed?
• You must be able to demonstrate a background in the repair, servicing and maintenance of coffee or vending equipment preferably within a field based environment
• Good electrical knowledge including 3 phase, plus an electrical based qualification is desirable
• Sound Mechanical knowledge and grounding is essential
• You need to be physically fit as you will be required to lift equipment
• As the position is field based, a clean UK Full Driving License is essential

What is the role of Field Service Engineer?
You will be working within leading supermarket chains, wholesale warehouses and independent clients, from private bakers to hotel kitchens.  Your role will require you to cover a range of catering and bakery equipment - Combi Ovens, Fryers, Rotisserie Ovens, Baine Maries, Hot Displays, Microwaves, Rack Ovens, Bread Plants, Mixers, Sealers, Bread Slicers (gas equipment will depend on Gas Safe qualifications).  This role entails the following:
• Installing, servicing, and repairing Catering and Bakery equipment

What experience is needed in becoming the successful Field Service Engineer?
• ComCats 1,3 and 5 highly desirable. The ComCat5 holder would ideally have experience of Forced Draught Burners.
• Three phase electrical experience and mechanical experience is essential
• Relevant experience to be able to demonstrate a background in the servicing and repair of bakery or catering and other equipment in food industry, preferably within a field based environment
• You need to be physically fit as you will be required to lift equipment
• As the position is mobile, a full, valid Driving License is essential

This is a challenging role which will provide an exciting career path for a dynamic forwarding thinking individual with a strong technical development background joining our ICT team.

Principle Objectives:

To maintain and develop the business’s bespoke Service Management System/s (SMS).
To design, implement and test changes to the SMS/s as agreed with relevant stakeholders.
To spearhead continuous improvement of the SMS together with all stakeholders to provide a stable platform for business operations.
Lead on systems integration by building, enabling and maintaining interfaces.
Documentation of all processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Day to day management of the SMS/s – support, queries, training of staff, trouble-shooting
Link between the business process owners and the SMS – coordination of all business requirements in relation to the SMS and the stakeholders in the business.
Responsible for translation of business requirements and requests into workable and stable solutions within the SMS for the organisation.
Ongoing development of the SMS as required, and implementation of continuous improvement to refine and enhance business processes.
Position will report to the ICT Manager.

Experience and Knowledge Required:
Knowledge of Service Management System principles essential
Previous SMS experience within a service delivery organisation essential
Excellent business analytical skills essential 
Programmatic approach to system configuration/management and maintenance
In-depth knowledge and understanding of programming logic in order to oversee any requirements
Knowledge of Process control and management – full understanding of complex processes to deliver the desired outcome for the organisation

Key Requirements/Skills:
Essential: XML messaging
SQL query /stored procedure writing
Relational database understanding
Concepts of database/data validation and cleansing
Advanced Excel
Advantageous: VB.Net
